Hey everybody it's Ray from VidCaster and today we're going to take a look at how you can make your videos into a podcast that's available on the iTunes Store. So here is the Tutorials Category page for our VidCaster tutorial videos. if you have any categories set up on your VidCaster site, you probably have a similar page that matches your site design with link its like this for get the podcasts and get the audio only podcasts. If you or your users click on one of these links what they're going to get is the RSS speed for the podcast itself. And you can go ahead and take that link and go into iTunes, and go to advanced, subscribe to podcast, put that link in, right there, hit OK, and, uh, it's gonna start downloading as tutorials, as a podcast so that you can watch them when you want but if you also want to have your podcast available in the iTunes Store so people can search for it and find you. Here's what you're going to want to do. First of all, you want to make sure your category has a nice image associated with it and a good description that's less than 255 characters. Double check that, then go ahead and grab the podcast link just like we just did Then, instead of subscribing to it in iTunes, you're going to want to submit it to the iTunes store. Now you can either do a Google search for Submit Podcast, or we have a link right here at the bottom of our Help Desk article about the podcast feeds that are available for BigCastor site so I'm going to go ahead and click that and then that's going to bring up this page in the iTunes store asking me to go ahead and submit that podcast URL. I'm just gonna paste it in right there, click continue. Now I have to authorize through my Apple account there we go Once itunes connects to that feed and pulls in all the information, its going to give me an option to look up over this here and go ahead and select a category. I'm going to put it in the Technology category and subcategory of software how-to. Ok everything looks good. I'm going to go ahead and hit submit now we'll just wait for iTunes store to approve that podcast link and then we'll check back and see how it's doing. it's, it's one day later and our podcast has been approved by Apple so For example, now if someone is to search for Vid Caster right here in the iTunes store, our podcast comes up right there as the number one result and at this very cool page here for browsing different episodes and downloading them into my iTunes Library.
