Working with Us!
A bit of background:
- Our technical co-founders developed VidCaster while producing local TV with the San Francisco Chronicle and other partners here in the Bay Area. We were fed up with the numerous web tools for video that didn’t “talk” to each other and took a huge amount of time to setup and integrate. Meanwhile, we were fed up with legacy TV distribution as a whole and see the “unbundling” of content to be the future of video.
- Last year we pivoted to focus solely on VidCaster and no longer do video production, but it’s still in our blood. Now VidCaster is the foundation of our company – it’s an end-to-end video platform that not only hosts video content but also designs and hosts a fully customizable and interactive video website complete with video SEO. It allows non-technical users to quickly do all this on a self-service basis.
- Our popular consumer-oriented product allows users to instantly create auto-syncing video websites on their own domain from their YouTube channel.
- In addition to hosting thousands of consumer sites, the VidCaster platform also powers video sites and video SEO for top-tier enterprise clients such as Zendesk, Microsoft and Airbnb.
- We’re serious about the company, we’ve hustled to make this reality, but we love celebrating these accomplishments as well. We’re a 500 Startups backed company and recently closed a healthy seed round with a sweet office in SoMa near South Park, CalTrain and the AT&T Ballpark.
- The company is revenue generating and growing quickly. This is the perfect time to join the project if you are looking to grow with a driven, efficient team with a solid foundation and significant growth potential.
- VidCaster is a modern web application built and running on open-source tools hosted on leading cloud providers. Our entire team, including sales and support, is savvy on product and technical development. You’ll be joining a technically competent crew with deep experience in online video, video streaming and encoding, HTML5 standards and more APIs than you can name.
What you get working with us:
- Work with an awesome, driven and motivated team on an awesome, elegant software product in the quickly evolving online media space.
- Competitive salary, benefits, stock options.
- A healthy mix of on-site and work-from-home ability. We spend most of our days at our office in SoMa near AT&T Park, CalTrain, Muni and BART, but we also telecommute as needed.
- Fun field trips including 500 Startups HQ, robot hackathons and more.
- A new set of awesome, driven, if a bit crazy, friends.
- An amazing set of industry contacts from our deep working relationships with our broad range of API, development and business partners.
